I am proud to announce my candidacy for Mayor of Naperville.
I’m excited to begin this journey with you as we talk about the future of our city from public safety and responsible budgeting to economic opportunity, and thoughtful growth to ensure Naperville remains a place where families, businesses, and neighborhoods can thrive.
But before we talk about priorities, I want to share the principle that will guide every decision I make as your Mayor.
We the People.
Those three words are often associated with our nation’s founding. But when I hear them, I think about Naperville, the families who have built their lives here, the businesses that strengthen our economy, the volunteers who serve our community, and every resident who calls this city home.
We the People is more than a phrase. It’s my philosophy of leadership.
It means that local government belongs to the people it serves. It means listening before leading, treating every resident with respect, and making decisions based on what’s best for our community, not politics or special interests.
During more than nine years on the Naperville City Council, I’ve learned that the best decisions come from listening, considering different perspectives, asking thoughtful questions, and bringing people together. We won’t always agree, and that’s okay. Strong communities are built on civility and a shared commitment to putting the needs of the community first.
I’ve had the privilege of working alongside residents, fellow council members, city staff, business leaders, and community organizations. Through those experiences, one truth has become clear: Naperville’s greatest strength is its people.
Whether you’ve lived here your entire life or just arrived, whether you’re raising a family, running a business, serving your community, or enjoying retirement… this is our city.
If I’m fortunate enough to earn your trust as your next Mayor, I will lead with integrity, remain accessible, and never lose sight of whom we’re here to serve.
The future of Naperville won’t be shaped by one elected official. It will be shaped by all of us. It will be shaped by We the People.
